We conducted and completed an MPD feasibility study to assess the suitability and economic impact of MPD technology for Tullow’s GVN-1 well offshore Surinam. This included a detailed assessment and modelling of MPD technology implementation with the aim to save a casing string in the original casing design. The study included basic MPD well design modelling, equipment selection, and vendor qualification.
Results: We demonstrated MPD as an enabling technology to save a casing string, thereby presenting significant well cost savings.
